Strip Eyelash Glue -  is soft glue that comes in dark gray or white in color.  This glue is made to be used to attach to skin “upper eyelids above the lash line”.  It is especially used when applying strip lashes.

Individual Eyelash Glue -is hard glue that comes in black & clear.  This glue is made to be used to attach hair to hair, not on the skin.

Advantages of Individual Eyelash Glue “Hard Glue”

• Possibly last longer & can withstand heat & water better than the soft glue
• Gives the illusion of having on black eyeliner on top of eyes when black adhesive is used

Disadvantages of Individual Eyelash Glue “Hard Glue”

• You will lose a lot of your own natural lashes when false lashes are removed & when the false lashes shed
• It may take 4 to 12 weeks for your own lashes to fully grow back if torn from hard glue
• This adhesive gets very hard & clumpy after a week or so.  This can be painful when the artificial lashes lift away from the base of your own lashes…..THE FUMES ARE VERY STRONG
• The eyelash glue remover burn the eyes severely if even a pinch of glue get into your eyes during the removal  process

Advantages of Strip Lash Glue “Soft Glue”

• This glue isn’t strong meaning your eyes won’t burn during application.  No strong fumes…
• In the winter time these lashes may last 1 – 5 weeks or more if instructions are followed properly
• The glue is light weight feeling as if the lashes aren’t on
• Glue doesn’t get hard when lashes get old like the individual hard glue, it remains soft @ all times even after a week or so….
• When a steamy hot towel is used in the microwave for about 1 ½ minute, this soft adhesive won’t tear out your own natural lashes during the removal process - neither will this adhesive tear out your own lashes when they shed
• You don’t have to use lash glue remover to remove false eyelashes when the soft glue is used.

 Disadvantages of Strip Lash Glue “Soft Glue”

• If lashes get wet, they may possibly shed or come off completely
• May become loose if steamy hot showers are taken and will come off completely if you let the water from the shower run on your face or while washing your hair
• May become loose or come completely off  if you let the steam from saunas, facial steaming, hot ovens, or barbeque grills get into your face
• When you wear eyeshadow, the color of the shadow will appear on the glue where the lashes begin, simply apply liquid black eyeliner at the base of the lashes where the color of the shadwo is visible, not on the skin

If you are allergic to latex, be sure not to have your lashes applied with the soft glue.  

If lashes aren't properly applied, clients may produce a sty on their eyelid.  This comes from lash adhesive being applied to the skin and not the lash hair itself.  A Sty is an inflamed or infected swelling of the sebaceous (oil-producing) glands in the eyelid causing a small bump that slowly increases in size.

If you have pink-eye, please do not have your artifical lashes applied as this will cause more irritation & pain.  Pink-Eye is very contagious.  So if you have pink-eye, please wait to have your lashes applied.
