In 1994, I took a visit to Las Vegas, Nevada, and noticed that nearly all the women had long, luscious, full-lashes. I didn't know what the beauty secret was until my ex-sister-in-law said she and her mother were going to the lash shop. I was then instantly shocked to know that women could have individual lashes added to their own lashes. Being from Tennessee and visiting Las Vegas in 1994 made me feel very slow to not knowing this beauty trend.
Tennessee has always been known to be behind in alot of trendy styles, but I had to prove a point that I could look fabulous although I was labeled as "COUNTRY" in the Sin City. When I got back to TN, this Southern Chic made a stop by Walgreens and purchased a pair of lashes and I practiced (off and on) until I mastered the technique in September 1997. After not being corporate material and getting fired from various jobs, in 2001, I turned my hobby, which is a God-Given Talent into a career as a Lashologist/Freelance Makeup Artist.
"I wanted to be in charge of myself, in control of my career, and to be more of a businesswoman". It takes confidence, energy, and brains to do this. Just because you're in the beauty industry doesn't mean you can't be intelligent.
"When I was 12 years old, my sister, Vee Massey shaped my eyebrowz with a straight razor and from then on, I was always in the mirror practicing with a razor blade". "When I was in the 6th grade, I use to get into trouble due to drawing 2 images of a woman's face and mimicking the cosmetics with my regular pencil on the 2nd face". "I was always intrigued with cosmetics because it enhanced the look of my face". As an adolescent, I use to gather JET Magazines to view the Before & After Fashion Fair Makeover page(s).
I currently hold an Associate's of Applied Science Degree in Computer Information Systems, a Microcomputer Specialist Diploma, and is also a licensed Master Barber. With over 20 + years of experience in applying cosmetics, shaping eyebrows, 9 + years in eyelash application, and a college degree, I now realize my purpose in life, and that is to "Serve Beauty".
"It makes me feel good to have a client leave my chair with tears because their face was transformed without surgery". This transformation cosmetik technique is known as "contouring & highlighting".
There are women today who are going through, have been through, or will be going through turmoil in their lives and will need that extra spark to alleviate the emotional scars. Ms. Lashville has that motivating ability to nurture & beautify your facial needs.
